Session 3:

EC Capacitor Storage System Application

In this session, we will review EC module design and system engineering to meet the performance goals of key applications, including those related to transportation, to industrial energy conservation, and to the utility grid.

Oliver Gross

Session Chairman:

Oliver Gross, Energy Storage Systems Specialist, Chrysler LLC

Oliver Gross is an Energy Storage Systems Specialist, at Chrysler Group, LLC, where he is responsible for the Battery systems technology roadmap and architecture for the Chrysler and Fiat Groups. Oliver Chairs the SAE Battery Task Force work group, responsible for the development of capacitive energy storage device Standards. He is also a member of the United States Advanced Battery Consortium Technical Advisory Committee, and chairs the committee on Stop Start and 48V Hybrid batteries. Oliver has over 20 years’ experience in the electrochemical energy storage fields. He holds both a BS and a Master’s Degree in Materials Science, for the University of Toronto. Oliver has 20 years’ experience in the advanced energy storage industry. He currently holds over 10 patents, and more than 20 publications.
